If you have been playing Albatross18 recently, you may have noticed the red messages coming up in the game chat, talking about crackdowns on cheaters, and to not give out your password. And what happened to the GMs in the lobby? This chat may explain all of that… a new OGPlanet rule forbids GMs to chat publicly in the lobby. This might be yet another poor decision by the OGP “higher ups,” at least in the eyes of the community.

Secondly, Sweatdrop at his new blog, SLGaming, reports that Korea’s September 23rd update contained various new sound effects for Lucia, Kaz and Nuri. For more information about that, check out his post.

Lastly, GOA’s recent update brings traditional Korean hanboks for all characters! They will be available until October 21st.

It seems that Pangya’s European version will shortly be catching up to Albatross18… the Season 3 closed beta will be happening rather soon. A post on GOA’s website explained how to win a spot in the closed beta, in an event which occurred last week.

“GOA Staff Members will be waiting for you… to challenge you to a few tournaments. The winner of each tournament will win 10 Satchel Shop coupons, a batch of Time Boosters and a spot on the Pangya Season 3 Closed Beta! Players finishing 2nd to the 15th will win 10 Satchel Shop coupons!”

The exact date for the closed beta has not been released, but is estimated to be at the end of September or in early October. The open beta should be in late October or early November. Invitations for the beta will be sent out after September 15. Winners of various events will receive invitations, as well as “players who have made an outstanding and positive contribution to the community.” More information about the beta can be found on GOA’s forums.

Meanwhile, Albatross18 will be holding its portion of the OGPlanet Olympics this weekend. Qualifying matches will be held on Saturday, a wildcard match on Sunday, and the finals next Sunday. First and second place winners will get one of the most coveted game items: Black Papel.
